Jorge Masvidal vows to make Nate Diaz pay after his coach was involved in a fight.

All hell broke loose following the end of Masvidal and Diaz’s press conference earlier this month in Anaheim, California, when Diaz refused another confrontation with Masvidal. The pair are scheduled to fight on July 6 in a Fanmio pay-per-view headliner at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Masvidal and Diaz’s teams exchanged words, leading to a fight in which Masvidal was involved. “Gamebred” made an exception with Diaz’s team going after their coach.

“I definitely didn’t want my good friend and coach – he’s an older man, not a young fighter, getting attacked by three guys,” Masvidal told MMA Junkie Radio. “This was never part of the script, but Nate and his team are cowards. They went after a coach who is below the low blow.

“This is just pathetic. This really bothered me. I really want to take it out on Nate, so I’m just keeping control and doing all the things I have to do to really hurt Nate and hurt anyone who comes along.

Masvidal said he himself was involved in the fight.

“I didn’t know why I grabbed this son of a bitch by the hair, I thought he was some fat lesbian,” recalls Masvidal. “I grabbed him by the hair and could have kneed him in the fucking face. Everyone knows I have decent knees, right? I could have kneed the guy, but I didn’t because I’m thinking about going back to jail again. I just got out, I don’t need another case, I don’t need all this bullshit.

“So I just took him away from my trainer and found out later while doing some research, this guy is a professional wrestler. So you and your other two friends attacked the damn coach who you know is my coach. If you want to go this route, let’s go. I’m totally in favor. We’ll see what happens because I’m going to take care of business on July 6th. I’m going to leave all this nonsense aside, but I’m going to take care of business on July 6th and then whatever else comes with that.”
