FANS are convinced they have discovered the secret injury that forced Conor McGregor to pull out of fighting Michael Chandler.
McGregor was due to face Chandler on June 29, in his first fight in three years – until the unthinkable happened.
For the first time in the Irishman’s UFC career, he was forced out after an injury developed in training camp.
UFC boss Dana White and McGregor himself spoke out to confirm that it was an injury that caused the fight to be cancelled.
But few details have emerged about what exactly happened to the former UFC champion.
McGregor has since taken to social media to post photos posing with his youngest son, Mack, and during a night out at his Black Forge Inn pub.
And eagle-eyed fans noticed the Irishman wearing flip-flops – leading to theories he injured his toes or toes.
One said: “Just an observation, but in the latest photos of McGregor he is wearing loose/comfortable flip-flops.
“Which makes me wonder if he has a toe injury.”
One of them theorized: “I’m going to say that it affects your foot with the choice of footwear”.
