DANA WHITE burst into the UFC 300 post-fight press conference to announce Conor McGregor’s comeback fight against Michael Chandler.
Alex Pereira had just knocked out Jamahal Hill in one round of the historic headliner in Las Vegas.

And just when fans thought the drama had come to an end – White dropped the mother of all bombshells.
Reading from his notes, he said, “June 29th, Conor vs. Chandler. Five rounds, 170 pounds.”
The press tent outside T-Mobile Arena erupted in applause as the sport’s biggest star finally had his next fight announced.
Just 24 hours earlier, White was forced to deny that a deal had been reached with McGregor.
And he revealed that it was only on the day of the UFC 300 fight that terms were officially agreed with the former two-weight champion.
McGregor, 35, has not fought since brutally breaking his leg in the first round against Dustin Poirier, 35, in July 2021.
After recovering from the horrific injury, the Irishman has spent the last year begging for a return date.
And at one point he appeared to be at odds with the UFC, as several appeals to fight were rejected.

White admitted that the release of McGregor’s acting debut in the Road House reboot forced a postponement for the comeback fight.
But now a deal has finally come to an end with McGregor to win UFC 303 in Las Vegas with Chandler.
And it will be at welterweight, despite his last two fights at lightweight.
