Former Bellator Lightweight Champion Brent PrimusAfter all these years, he still has everything he needs to put an end to long-distance fights.

Thursday at 2024 PFL5 in Salt Lake City, Primus (14-3) secured a playoff berth by finishing Solomon Renfro (11-6) at 3:21 of Round 3. The submission ended a back-and-forth contest during which both men had their moments.

Primus was stunned at the start of the fight. Although he looked uncomfortable in the opening minutes, he regained his rhythm as the fight progressed. After a knockdown in the third round, Primus finally managed to reach the rear naked choke, which he stopped with less than two minutes to go.

Primus, 39, is 3-0 without a result in the last four games. He also won his PFL debut with a rear naked choke in the previous match, submitting Bruno Miranda.

Renfro, 27, continues his series of fierce fights and unsuccessful results. He is 1-3 in the PFL, with losses to Magomed Magomedkerimov, Gadzhi Rabadanov and now Primus.
