A crazy knockout at UFC 300 left the sports world stunned.
Sports personalities couldn’t believe their eyes after watching the end of the Justin Gaethje-Max Holloway UFC fight.
Holloway scored one of the best knockouts in UFC history in the final seconds of his title fight.
The former featherweight champion controlled the fight all night, but pointed to the ground to challenge Gaethje to exchange blows in the final ten seconds of the fight.
Gaethje, with nothing to lose, accepted the challenge and the two fighters began exchanging violent blows.
Holloway still came out on top, landing a ferocious overhand right that sent Gaetje face-first to the ground.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had his eye on the fight and had to share his thoughts after the crazy knockout.
“That was crazy!!!!!!!!” he posted on X.
ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III was present for the knockout and posted a video of himself and his wife slack-jawed as the crowd cheered around them.
“Ohhhhhh my god!!!!!!” he captioned the post X.
Fans agreed with Griffin and Mahomes’ reactions and shared their thoughts in the comments of their posts.
“Great final of an incredible fight. You don’t get that in boxing,” said one fan.
“Mahomes and Max have that clutch gene,” said another fan.
“The best ending to a fight ever!” a third fan said.
“This might be the most incredible moment in UFC history, damn!!!” a fourth fan said.
Holloway called out current featherweight champion Ilia Topuria following Saturday night’s impressive victory.
Topuria took the belt from Alexander Volkanovski with victory in February.
If Holloway and Topuria fight for the title, the fight will likely take place in late 2024.
