Initially scheduled for a three-round fight Virna Jandiroba vs. Amanda Lemos it will now be a five-round main event.
Strawweight fight, Jandiroba (14-3-1 MMA, 8-3 UFC) x Lemos (20-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) should be the main attraction of the event. UFC Fight Night event on July 20th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
A person with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed them to MMA Junkie after a graphic of the fight’s new designation appeared at the end of the UFC on ABC 6 broadcast Saturday.
Jandiroba won consecutive fights against Angela Hill, Marina Rodriguez and Loopy Godinez. She is 6-2 in her last eight games, with her only losses coming to Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas.
Lemos looks to continue gaining momentum with his win over Mackenzie Dern in UFC 298 in February. This unanimous decision performance brought her back into the win column after a failed title bid against Zhang Weili in UFC 292 In August.
