PFL 6 2024 Results: Brendan Loughnane Makes Giant Cut on Justin Gonzales’ Forehead for TKO

Brendan Loughnane left Justin Gonzales with a huge battle scar after the encounter 2024 PFL 6.

The two featherweights faced off in the main fight of Friday’s card, which took place on Friday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD Loughnane won the fight via TKO in the second round after landing a knee to Gonzales’ head which left him with a giant gash in the middle of his forehead.

Gonzales didn’t appear to have his knee shaken, however, the blow opened a nasty gash that immediately began to draw blood. The referee had no other option than to pause the fight to call the doctor from the cage. After checking the cut, it became clear that Gonzales could not safely continue – although he protested the stoppage.

With this result, Loughnane booked his ticket to the 2024 PFL featherweight playoffs. He did so as the season’s No. 1 seed. The Englishman is on a two-fight winning streak since losing to Jesus Pinedo in a huge upset in 2023. Meanwhile, Gonzales now finds himself on a four-fight losing streak and out of the 2024 PFL featherweight tournament.
