UFC 303 will headline a light heavyweight title rematch on Saturday, as well as Alexandre Pereira defends the belt against Jiri Prochazka.
Conor McGregor Withdrew from his planned main event fight with Michael Chandler after breaking a toe this month, prompting Pereira and Prochazka to intervene.
Seven months ago, Pereira defeated Prochazka in the second round to win the vacant 205-pound belt and build on his previous reign as middleweight champion. Now Prochazka seeks revenge, trying to regain the light heavyweight title he won in 2022.
The Czech fighter vacated the belt that year after suffering an injury, before Jamahal Hill won the title and also vacated it through injury. After Pereira won gold in November, the Brazilian maintained it with a knockout over Hill in April this year, the same night as Pereira’s stoppage of Aleksandar Rakic.
