MAYRA BUENO SILVA was left with a Horror Movie-like cut to her head thanks to a vicious elbow from opponent Macy Chiasson.
The recent women’s bantamweight title challenger took down Chiasson on a stacked UFC 303 card in Las Vegas.
Bueno Silva looked to bounce back from her January loss to defending champion Raquel Pennington.
But she ended up suffering her second consecutive defeat thanks to a perfectly placed elbow from Chiasson in the second round.
Chiasson threw a violent blow when he was in the Brazilian’s full guard.
Blood immediately began gushing from Bueno Silva’s head, although the severity of the cut was not evident until she stood up.
Referee Chris Tognoni immediately called the ringside doctor to inspect the laceration.
And after hearing the doctor say the injury was “bone-deep,” Tognoni immediately withdrew from the competition.
Several fans in the arena booed his decision to cancel the fight, but quickly withdrew it upon seeing the depth of the cut.
MMA fans were surprised by the cut, and one of them wrote on social media: “Brutal.”

Another said: “She didn’t have a chance after that cut. A good stoppage.”
And another said: “Damn.”
One commented: “Imagine throwing more punches there? Good decision by the referee.
Another added: “Nearly Marvin Eastman caliber depth of cut.”
Bueno Silva was not happy with the stoppage, venting his fury with UFC big man Dana White.
The win over Bueno Silva was Chiasson’s second in a row since her 2022 loss to Irene Aldana.
