UFC reserves Renato Moicano vs Benoit Saint-Denis for five rounds in Paris

The UFC’s return to Paris has a notable fight.

Scheduled for September 28th at the Accor Arena, contenders Renato Moicano It is Benoit Saint-Denis will fight in a light fight.

Ag. Fight first reported that the confrontation was agreed verbally. MMA Junkie has since confirmed that the fighters have signed their fight agreements – for five rounds.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently briefed MMA Junkie on the details, but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has not yet been made official.

Moicano (19-5-1 MMA, 11-5 UFC) has a three-fight winning streak, including a recent TKO victory over Jalin Turner at UFC 300 in April. Moicano has won five of his last six matches, with his only defeat in that stretch being a short-notice decision loss to Rafael dos Anjos.

A native of Paris, Saint-Denis (13-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) is headlining a UFC show for the first time, and doing so in his home country. He is looking to bounce back from a knockout loss to Dustin Poirier in UFC 299 in March. This loss broke a five-fight winning streak that included all submissions.

With the addition, the UFC Paris schedule includes:

  • Renato Moicano x Benoit Saint Denis

  • Joanderson Brito x William Gomis

  • Nora Cornolle x Germaine de Randamie
