UFC 305 adds newcomer Stewart Nicoll vs. Jesus Aguilar

A flyweight fight is coming up.

Newcomer Stewart Nicoll will make its promotional debut on August 17th against. Jesus Aguilar at UFC 305. The event takes place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie about the booking, but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has not yet been made official.

Australian Nicoll (8-0 in MMA, 0-0 in UFC) is considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the region, with seven submissions in eight professional fights. He made a name for himself at Beatdown Promotions, a local fight company led by former UFC fighter Damien Brown.

Aguilar (10-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) has won consecutive fights against Shannon Ross and Mateus Mendonca since losing to Tatsuro Taira in his promotional debut.

With the addition, the UFC 305 lineup includes:

  • Dricus Du Plessis x Israel Adesanya – for the middleweight title

  • Steve Erceg x Kai Kara-France

  • Jairzinho Rozenstruik x Tai Tuivasa

  • Li Jingliang x Carlos Prates

  • Justin Tafa x Walter Walker

  • Josh Culibão x Ricardo Ramos

  • Tereza Bleda x Casey O’Neill

  • Jack Jenkins x Gavin Tucker

  • Tom Nolan x Alex Reyes

  • Jesus Aguilar x Stewart Nicoll
