Two UFC strawweights will face each other this summer.
One of the most experienced women in the promotion’s cast Angela Colina will fight Tabatha Ricci at the UFC Fight Night event August 24 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie about the scheduling after Hill (17-13 MMA, 12-13 UFC) announced the fight on his podcast, “2 straws.”
Hill, 39, has won four of his last five fights. She is coming off consecutive victories, including a unanimous decision over Denise Gomes and submission of Luana Pinheiro.
Ricci (10-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has won five of his last six fights. In her most recent fight, Ricci, 29, bounced back from a split decision loss to Loopy Godinez by defeating Tecia Pennington via split decision.
