CONOR MCGREGOR is eyeing a return to the UFC octagon in December.
The MMA poster boy was poised to make his big return last month in the main event of UFC 303 in Las Vegas against Michael Chandler.

But the Irish suffered a fracture in the little toe of his left foot in one of his last sparring sessions before leaving for Sin City and the fight was cancelled.
McGregor, 36, initially earmarked late August or early September for his rescheduled return.
But SunSport understands the UFC has all its pay-per-view headliners finalized – with the exception of the December show.
And McGregor admits he likes the idea of headlining UFC 310, which is scheduled for December 14th.
The UFC’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion told SunSport: “That looks good to me.
“That sounds good to me, brother.”
McGregor hasn’t stepped into the Octagon since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier three years ago.
The Dubliner underwent an agonizing and painstaking rehabilitation to regain fitness following the potentially career-ending injury.

And he was devastated by his first retreat from an octagon.
He wrote on social media: “We were so over-prepared for this fight that it is absolutely harrowing to face.
“We had a lapse in concentration and started training without using all the protective equipment.
“And I stubbed my toe on my elbow and broke my toe. It takes a few weeks, that’s it.
“I couldn’t justify to my team, nor to the fans, that I made the journey unfavorable.
“That next walk has to be, and will be, 100 percent Conor McGregor. The fans deserve it and we are getting close.
“A slight lapse in concentration and the discomfort of an injury were detected.
“That’s it. Do your homework and move on. I’ll get this back. I need to.”
“I have two fights left on my contract. I’m coming to shine.
“I’ll be back. See you soon. See you at the top. Chandler or not.”
