Conor McGregor you can cheer for Mike Perry everything he wants. Jake Paulo He’s calm and has a message for the UFC’s biggest star.

On Thursday, McGregor made his first public appearance as co-owner of BKFC at a press conference in Spain, where he took shots at Paul while using Perry as an example in response to a question about the potential for fighters to gain relevance by competing for the promotion.

“(You can) create a new name for yourself (here at BKFC),” McGregor said. “Look what happened to Michael Perry, one of our big stars here – the ‘King of Violence’ as he calls himself. He had a great rise in the sport. Now he’s facing a jerk in a fight this weekend, (and) we’re all rooting for him.

Later on Thursday, at a press conference in Tampa, Florida, Paul reacted to McGregor’s dissent.

“You’ll see what I do with their best fighter on Saturday night,” Paul said. “I’m going to embarrass their entire league. This guy has no skills. These (BKFC fighters) are just fighters, idiots, street fighters, who have no idea what the sweet science is. Conor McGregor can say whatever he wants, but he won’t fight me either. As soon as I knock out Mike Perry, Conor McGregor, we’re going to command, but you’re not going to do that because you know what’s going to happen. You saw what I did to Nate Diaz, who you came face to face with.

“So, Conor McGregor, quit the cocaine, get in the gym and start winning fights. Then maybe we can talk.”

Perry was offended by Paul’s jab at BKFC as a whole and immediately made it clear.

“He’s a disrespectful punk,” Perry said. “Those men and women fight for their families there (at BKFC). They put everything on the line, get in the ring and put on a show for the fans.

Paul and Perry will settle their own dispute on Saturday in an eight-round, 200-pound boxing match that will take place at Amalie Arena and be broadcast on DAZN pay per view.
