Seungwoo Choi vs Steve Garcia UFC in ESPN 60 preview
Choi (11-6 MMA, 4-5 UFC) is looking to keep the momentum going after his unanimous decision win over Jarno Errens last August. The result resulted in a three-fight skid, which was the worst stretch of his UFC career. Before that, Choi won three in a row. … Garcia (15-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) will compete for the first time in 2024, and is on a roll as the winner of three straight fights, each by stoppage. In his race, Garcia stopped Chase Hooper, Shayilan Nuerdanbieke and Melquizael Costa.
Seungwoo Choi vs. Steve Garcia UFC on ESPN 60 Expert Pick, Prediction
With Junyong Park pulling out of his fight against Brad Tavares at 11 a.m., the impromptu co-main event in Las Vegas will now feature a featherweight fight between Choi and Garcia.
Both fighters are absolutely wild at heart, but I believe the fact that Garcia is southpaw puts an interesting twist on this fight.
Choi shows off his standard approach of kicking with the front hand to offload power from the back. He also tends to throw naked kicks, which opens up opportunities to hit him.

In addition to the fact that Choi is officially 0-2 against UFC southpaws, the Korean’s shot selection appears to be even more limited in open stance matters.
Add in the fact that Garcia appears to be on the mend, and I can’t help but lean slightly toward the “Mean Machine” in this spot.
It should be a wild fight while it lasts, but I will officially pick Garcia to force a permanent stoppage via strikes at the end of the first round.
