A MASS brawl broke out moments after Leon Edwards’ reign as UFC welterweight champion ended.
The Brummie’s tenure as 170-pound king came to a surprising end at the hands of Belal Muhammad at UFC 304.
Edwards, 32, was overcome by Muhammad’s suffocation wrestling for five consecutive rounds.
The judges made no mistakes after the final horn, crowning Muhammad the new welterweight king courtesy of scores of 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46.
And moments after Muhammad’s hand was raised, a fight broke out near the seats next to the cage.
It is not clear what started the chaos, nor which security guards were quickly controlled.
The footage showed a fan picking up a chair in an attempt to throw it at another punter.
Fortunately, security was able to control things and separate those involved.
Muhammad, 36, became emotional after raising his hand.
The Palestinian-American said: “It seems like all the people booing now have tears streaming from their eyes.
