JON JONES has broken his silence on Tom Aspinall’s dominance of Curtis Blaydes.

The Wigan warrior attacked Blaydes in 60 SECONDS in their UFC 304 rematch in Manchester last weekend to retain the interim heavyweight title.

Aspinall, 31, immediately went straight to the indisputable heavyweight king, politely calling him out in his post-fight interview.

Jones, surprisingly, didn’t immediately comment on the Brit’s demolition job of Blaydes – which he tipped off to beat Manny’s mess.

But he finally addressed the elephant in the room at X, albeit with a short and sweet statement.

The former pound for pound king wrote: “Supply and demand at its best, I love it.”

Aspinall redoubled her desire to fight Jones, who will defend her title against Stipe Miocic in November, in a unification fight next year at the post-fight press conference.

He said: “I have nothing against Jon Jones as a person, but I think I’m the best heavyweight in the world.

“And if he thinks he’s the best heavyweight, then let’s sort it out.

“It’s that simple, it’s not a rocket Science.

“There are two guys who claim to be the best heavyweights in the world. Let’s settle this.”

He added: “I’m the best heavyweight in the world.

“Prove me wrong, Jon. If you think you are, prove me wrong. It’s simple.”

Jones, 37, has not stepped into the Octagon since winning the heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane last March, submitting the Frenchman in the first round of their clash in Sin City.

He was supposed to defend his belt against Miocic last November, but was forced out of the Madison Square Garden mess after tearing a pectoral muscle.

Jones’ defeat proved to be a victory for Aspinall, who knocked out Russian wrecking machine Sergei Pavlovich in 69 seconds to win the interim heavyweight title.

Jones hinted he could hang up his gloves after the rescheduled clash with Miocic.

But UFC president and CEO Dana White reckons Aspinall’s latest win could get the Hall of Famer’s competitive juices flowing again.

He said: “I think the competitive spirit that he has and his desire to prove to the world that he’s the best, especially when people say Aspinall could be the best, I think that’s the kind of shit that gets Jon Jones fired. above.”
