Report: Kings meet 10 projected lottery picks at NBA Combine originally appeared in NBC Sports Bay Area
With the June 2024 NBA Draft quickly approaching, the The kings are keeping busy getting to know this year’s class of prospects.
Sacramento brass met with 10 projected lottery picks last week at the NBA Combine in Chicago, FOX40’s Sean Cunningham reported Monday, citing a league source.
Those interviews, according to Cunningham, included Perth center Alexandre Sarr, UConn center Donovan Clingan, Colorado winger Cody Williams, Tennessee winger Dalton Knecht, Baylor winger Ja’Kobe Walter and Duke guard and native of Sacramento Jared McCain.
According to a league source, the Sacramento Kings met with 10 projected lottery picks during last week’s NBA Combine in Chicago.
Interviews included Donovan Clingan, Dalton Knecht, Sacramento native Jared McCain, Alex Sarr, Ja’Kobe Walter and Cody Williams.

“Also, I heard pre-draft workouts returned today after taking a break for the Combine last week,” Cunningham added. “Members of the Kings’ front office are exploring on the road – participating in professional workouts organized by major agencies in Las Vegas and [Los Angeles] this week.”
The Kings currently has the 13th overall pick for the two-day draft that begins June 26. Cody Williams, a 6-foot-5 forward from Marquette, was the more designed to be elaborated by Sacramento, although other players like McCain and Walter have also been linked to the Kings.
While Kings general manager Monte McNair and Co. have a big decision to make to bolster their roster for the 2024-25 season, next month’s event will only kick off what is expected to be a busy offseason for the Kings .
