Celtics Offseason 2024: Important Dates to Circle on Your Calendar originally appeared in NBC Sports Boston

The NBA offseason began after the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night to win their 18th championship.

Of course, it will take a little longer for the C’s to get into offseason mode. Your celebration will continue throughout the week, including on Friday with the championship parade in Boston.

Next week, however, President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens and the Celtics front office will be back at the drawing board. His off-season duties will begin next Wednesday with the 2024 NBA Draft and will continue when free agency opens just a few days later.

Here are all the key Celtics offseason dates to mark on your calendar:

Championship Parade: Friday at 11 a.m. ET

O rolling rally to celebrate 2024 NBA champions it will begin in front of the TD Garden on Causeway Street, pass City Hall Plaza and Boston Common on Tremont Street, and end on Boylston Street near the Hynes Convention Center.

White and Tatum are currently scheduled to become free agents in 2025. A $315 million supermax extension for Tatum seems inevitable, and it also seems like a foregone conclusion that White will be locked up long-term. Both players became immediately extension eligible after the NBA Finals and will be able to sign a new contract at any time before the start of the 2024-25 NBA season.

NBA Draft: June 26th and 27th

The Celtics hold the 30th and 54th overall picks in the 2024 draft.

NBA Free Agency: June 30th at 6pm ET

Boston has just three impending unrestricted free agents: Luke Kornet, Xavier Tillman Sr. and Svi Mykhailuk. Finding a versatile big man will be on Brad Stevens’ to-do list this summer.

Summer League: July 12th to 22nd

Jordan Walsh and JD Davison starred in last year’s Summer League C. Boston went 2-3 in Las Vegas.

Paris Olympics: July 27th to August 11th

Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday will represent the Celtics on the 2024 USA Basketball Men’s National Team. Derrick White is supposedly a strong candidate to replace Kawhi Leonard on the roster.
