Anderson shares photos of himself wearing a Warriors shirt as a child originally appeared in NBC Sports Bay Area

Kyle Anderson’s arrival in the Bay Area was a lifelong preparation.

On Thursday, the 30-year-old free striker, who will supposedly sign a three-year, $27 million contract with Golden State, shared photos of himself as a child wearing a retro No. 23 Warriors jersey (presumably Jason Richardson).

In his posts, originally shared on Instagram, Anderson captioned one of the two photos “it was written,” signaling that he was destined to play with the Warriors.

Anderson, the former 30th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, is joining the Warriors as part of a sign-and-trade deal that will send a future second-round pick and cash swap to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

During the 2023-24 NBA season, Anderson averaged 6.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 79 games played with the Timberwolves.

Heading into his 11th professional season, Anderson is expected to serve as a role player in Steve Kerr’s scheme, who will be without Klay Thompson for the first time since 2011.

Anderson arrives in Golden State with ambitions of fighting for another ring under superstar guard Stephen Curry and forward Draymond Green, but certainly at the end of a historic NBA dynasty.

So if only Anderson, who may have grown up a Warriors fan, could channel his inner child and deliver to Dub Nation when it matters most – and potentially check off a second item on his lifelong Warriors bucket list while he’s at it. in that.
