Video transcript

How am I supposed to stop myself from recruiting a ton of Derrick Henry this year?

I, I, I won’t be able to, uh, yeah, that’s the long and short answer.

I think the Packers one stands out and it seems great that you mentioned Brian.

Good because, it’s like he’s able to get on the fence here in this one and like, yeah, they gave Matt Leflore this Josh Jacobs, which I had exactly the same read as you, which is like the Packers want to be more diverse in the racing game.

They want to be able to do a little bit of everything like the Rams are doing, like, like, like the 49er are doing and Jacobs is a back that allows you to do that, especially in some of those gap scheme things.

That’s a great point.

No, that’s a great point.

Yes, but at the same time, they still gave him a contract.

It’s like, well, if he shows up looking like 2023 Josh Jacobs, like we’re out of here and then, like, we also draft Marsha Lloyd and like, Leflore guards whenever there’s a mic in front of him in training or like OTAs now, he It’s like, committee of committee.

I always had a committee back.

So I think this is the one that has the potential to be the biggest boom, I think.

Yes, yes, yes, for me it would be the hardest to choose too.

Like, every week or so we go through for fantasy purposes, like, it’s kind of a stay away until we prove otherwise, because even Marshawn Lloyd is like, iii, I kept describing him as a simple runner and I, I I didn’t mean it as a distraction, I just meant that he’s going to get the Ys block for himself and I think he does a good job of doing that.

Like, he plants his foot and goes, but it’s not like I’m, wow, for him.

Uh So it’s not like, well, you can’t keep this guy off the field, but I think that’s what they try.

They’re trying to play the run game.

Hey, we have Jordan, baby, who I just named my fifth best quarterback on the show, which was a little tough.

But man, I rewatched, I rewatched some of the, I, I watched them in real time, but don’t rewatch some of those games just for that, that pod and I was like, oh, shit, I might underrate them.

Yes.

But I think part of the thinking was this: Let’s just get our singles hitters in the run game.

We’re going to get the explosives through the passing game.

So let’s stick to the schedule because I think last year, especially in the first half, none of the running backs were healthy.

The offensive line was going through some things.

They were like, there were so many thirds and tens and thirds and twelves that, you know what the bottom of the Los Angeles forest is, it was, you know, four meters is not a bad thing.

Three yards isn’t a bad thing because now we’re on second and seven as opposed to 2nd and 12.

Right.

I, ironically, like they were able to do that when Aaron Jones, who they wrote off, that’s when he, when he was there, they were able to do that.

But of course, I think it’s mostly just the health star.

Yeah, I think it’s mostly a health issue, but because when you have AJ Dillon back there, it’s like, well, we’re not, we’re lucky if we get three yards, you know.

So I think that’s why they need to have Marshall Lloyd there too.

So, that is, I’m with you who at first blushed when they signed Josh Jacobs because I was on top of the offense in general and I’m, I’m on the high of love, I, I love Reed and, and fuse, these guys are players and the other players are also good players.

They have two intriguing tight ends.

I was like, okay, the running back on that team, like, I want that guy in fantasy, but now that they added Lloyd, there’s more time to think about it and he’s going to come off the board as the 29th overall player in old dress Nanny.

I’m like, yeah, we’ll see.

I, I think I really like, yes.

II, I think I have a lot, he’s going ahead of Derrick Henry, which to me, like, I’m beating Derek Henry like 100 times out of 100.
