Haason Reddick can. . . or may not attend the team’s mandatory two-day minicamp this week. He’s not saying.
The Jets’ edge rusher refused to comment to Ryan Dunleavy from New York Post Office during Reddick’s appearance at a Family Fun & Fitness day on Sunday.
The Jets haven’t seen Reddick since he passed a physical following a trade from the Eagles on March 29. He skipped the entire voluntary offseason program, including nine organized team activities, and lost a $250,000 workout bonus in his contract.
The team’s mandatory minicamp begins Tuesday and ends Wednesday, and Reddick will be fined about $50,000 if he doesn’t show up.
Reddick, who has 50.5 sacks and 83 quarterback hits over the past four seasons with the Cardinals, Panthers and Eagles, was seeking a new contract before the trade. He has $14.25 million remaining non-guaranteed in the final year of his current contract.
Instead of paying Reddick, the Eagles signed former Jets defensive tackle Bryce Huff to a three-year, $51.1 million free agent contract.
