Best moments from Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony originally appeared in NBC Sports Boston
Tom Brady, the greatest player in New England Patriots (and NFL) history, was officially inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame during a special ceremony at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday night.
Brady became the 35th person inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame, joining a special group of team legends who helped build the franchise into what it is today. Patriots owner Robert Kraft also announced that Brady’s number 12 has been officially retired and that a statue of the quarterback will be built in the plaza outside the team’s Hall of Fame. It will be revealed during the next season.
The list of attendees on Wednesday included many of Brady’s former teammates, his former rivals, many family members and entertainment stars. Former Patriots coach Bill Belichick also gave a long speech.
One of these entertainment stars was Jay-Z, who gave a special performance of his legendary song Public service announcementwhich Brady often used as entrance music before home games.
One of the surprise guests was former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. The Brady-Manning rivalry is one of the best in league history and has produced many memorable moments. They talked about their friendship, faceoffs and what made Brady such a tough competitor.
The best moment of the night may have been the standing ovation that Randy Moss received from fans about an hour and a half into the event. This brought Moss to tears.

Jay-Z is here to start. Public service announcement blaring as Tom Brady arrives at Gillette Stadium.
Little surreal to see Brady walk in in a suit with Jay-Z performing live. Patriots followers are so used to hearing this song and seeing him run down the sideline on game days.
