Yahoo Sports’ Jason Fitz and Frank Schwab discuss whether the Panthers have given Bryce Young enough support for the team to be successful in 2024 and whether Dave Canales is the answer in Carolina.

My one big thing for the Carolina Panthers is: Did they do enough to help Bryce Young?
And I think the answer could be yes.
Look, they realized they put him in a bad position last year.
Bryce Young didn’t play well, but how much of that was him?
How much of it was just the situation surrounding him?
So they did some work in the off-season, paid a lot of money on two starting guards.
Robert Hunt, Damian Lewis, it really helps the interior of the line, which helps when you have a short quarterback.
The New Orleans Saints did this for years with Drew Brees.
They left, they traded for Deonte Johnson, they left and in the draft you get a running back and Jonathan Brooks you get Xavier Leggett in the first round.
Wide receiver Javon Sanders is a very good tight end.
And then you get Dave Canalis, the head coach who really helped Baker Mayfield last year.
He Baker Mayfield has revived his career and they have to think Dave Canalis can do something similar for Bryce Young.
The Panthers at this point in the off-season are the only team whose win total has gone up, they went from 4.5 to 5.5 at Bet MGM.
And I can understand the reasoning saying that the Panthers, yes, they were 15 last year.
They were horrible, but they did a lot to help Bryce Young.
And now we get to see Bryce Young, that guy, you traded for him, you drafted him first overall.
You didn’t give him a chance the first year.
You really don’t know what’s wrong with him.
His two should give us better answers because they have now put talent around him.
Yes, I agree with that.
I think offensive line talent was also particularly important for Carolina and, look, nothing is going to change the fact that the price show will forever be judged by what CJ Stroud does.
Then C CJ Strout continues down.
This only puts more and more pressure on Bryce Young to become a competent starting quarterback as quickly as possible.
And, and, and I think we have to remember the revisionist history that’s happening right now.
Uh, there were questions about Bryce’s size, but pretty much nothing else was questioned by anyone.
So let’s see now if they have the right pieces to put it around and make it successful.
