Several players have gone directly from the United Football League’s inaugural season to NFL rosters. Marquette King is not one of them.

King was named an All-UFL punter for his work this spring with the Arlington Renegades, but that didn’t land him an NFL job, and he is publicly asking for one. King posted a video of one of his punts on social media and asked when an NFL team would give him a chance.

“You can’t tell me there are 32 better bettors than me. All UFL bettors in a league where betting isn’t easy at all! I’m voicing a call from an NFL team again soon,” King wrote.

King pitched for the Raiders from 2012 to 2017 before being cut on a play for which he credited “to hate“from then-head coach Jon Gruden. He was immediately signed by the Broncos, but only lasted four games with them and hasn’t played in the NFL since 2018.
