Who is Ted Crews, the newest member of the Bears front office originally appeared in NBC Sports Chicago
O Bears have added a new face to their front office. The team announced it has hired Ted Crews to serve in a newly created role, special advisor to the President/CEO and chief administrative officer.
Crews’ work will be a mix of assistance and collaboration with the Bears president and CEO. Kevin Warrenand streamline team communications both internally and from a public relations/media relations perspective.
“We are incredibly fortunate and blessed to have Ted join the Chicago Bears family,” Warren said in a statement. “Ted has an exemplary track record in the NFL and his success clearly demonstrates his ability to skillfully lead complex communications strategies while building a strong management environment. His leadership qualities, combined with a deep understanding of the NFL’s broad communications landscape, will be instrumental in advancing our vision and aggressive organizational goals.”
Crews comes to Chicago from Kansas City, where he served as vice president of communications for the Chiefs. Crews was with the Chiefs from 2012-2024. His career highlights include working on the communications strategy for the naming rights deal at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and the launch of Chiefs Fit fitness centers.
Crews has worked in the NFL for 26 years, starting as an intern with the Carolina Panthers. From there, he worked as the football communications manager for the Atlanta Falcons and then senior director of communications for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Crews received honors from the Fritz Pollard Alliance Association for “outstanding work and success” as a black executive in the NFL. He has also been chosen to serve as captain of the Super Bowl public relations team 10 times.
