Video transcript

My one big thing for the Bills is that, uh, we wrote them off too early and, you know, your fitz, you talked about this on one of our previous podcasts and it really opened my mind to maybe really underestimating what the Buffalo Bills it could be this season.

You look at last season and you know, they had that weird first two-thirds of the year where they lost to teams like the Broncos and it was like, they’re not going to make the playoffs.

They were very unlucky to be in that position and then they played to their talent level for the rest of the regular season when the AFC East obviously made the playoffs and like you said, we thought they were going to get over that hump.

If they take the Chiefs home, they will beat them.

The Chiefs fell a little and lost the game.

I don’t like to overreact to things that might happen.

Tyler Bass makes that field goal.

If you draw the game, you can win it.

We’re having a completely different conversation about the Buffalo Bills.

This hurt the loose Toon Diggs.

Absolutely.

I have many, many questions about the casting of Josh Allen?

No doubt about that.

But we kind of forget how good this Bills team was last year.

They were third and even in OA they played to that level until the Chiefs game in the latter part of the season when they advanced to the playoffs.

I think I included talking about the Jets all off-season.

Right.

I might even just be dismissing them a little.

We all thought, oh, the Bills are no longer contenders.

I don’t know, man, they’re still a really good team with a great quarterback at one point.

Maybe they can get through.

I, I just, the only thing that’s important to me is, are we canceling the bills too soon?

I know you didn’t do this and I’m starting to understand your line of thinking here.

Yes.

And I think there are two separate conversations.

The Bills and the Cowboys, I would say the same thing.

They are two separate conversations.

Success in Super Bowls is very different.

I think the Bills are positioned to be successful every year now.

Just like I said, with Kansas City, Josh Allen puts them in that, in that, uh, in that area where they’re going to be successful.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bills competing for home field advantage in the playoffs.

Does this mean they’ll figure out how to get through Kansas City?

No, just like when we talk about the NFC in a few days, I think the Cowboys will be in contention for first overall, home field advantage in the NFC.

Does this mean I think D will perform in the playoffs?

I don’t know, that’s the problem is that we, we look at the success in the bubble of, we managed to win the Super Bowl.

Well, there’s an entire season leading up to that.

I think the Bills are going to be very good this season.

I think you’re right about that.
