Bears and Texans Hall of Fame game canceled due to storms originally appeared in NBC Sports Chicago

The Bears and Texans had their preseason opener cut short. The Hall of Fame game was canceled early due to storms.

The Bears won 21-17. The game was suspended with 3:31 left in the third quarter.

Brett Rypien was the star of the exhibition game as he completed 11-15 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns.

The Bears head to Buffalo to face the Bills in their second preseason game on August 10.
