Former Utica Comets defenseman Michael Vukojevic has signed a two-year contract with the Pelicans in Liiga, it was reported Friday.
Selected by the New Jersey Devils in the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Vukojevic spent the 2023-24 season with the Comets. In 49 regular season games, he scored three goals and added seven assists for 10 points.

In 166 regular-season AHL games over four seasons with the Devils organization, Vukojevic had 41 points.
A product of Oakville, Ontario, Vukojevic played in the USHL (Green Bay Gamblers) and OHL (Kitchener Rangers) before turning pro.
By bringing his talent to the Pelicans, Vukojevic could potentially pair with Wyatt Kalynuk, who also recently signed with the team. While Vukojevic never saw an NHL game with the Devils, he could still bolster a team’s depth if he wants to return to North America after his contract ends.
