Sharks announce 2024-25 NHL preseason schedule dates originally appeared in NBC Sports Bay Area
With the Sharks set to embark on the highly anticipated 2024-25 NHL season, San Jose has revealed its preseason schedule and opponents.
The Sharks will open their preseason against the Las Vegas Golden Knights on September 22 at the SAP Center, followed by back-to-back matchups with the Anaheim Ducks – one in San Jose and the other in Southern California.
Next up, the Sharks will return home to face the Utah Hockey Club for the first time since being relocated and renamed, followed by another home game against the Ducks before wrapping up the preseason on the road in Las Vegas on 5 of October.
San Jose is sure to get extra attention this season after the Sharks make their selection of highly touted prospects Macklin Celebrini #1 Overall in the 2024 NHL Draft on June 28.
With top prospect Will Smith entering the herd alongside other young people and dynamic talent William EklundSan Jose is poised to deliver a much more exciting product than the disappointing 2023-24 NHL season, where the Sharks finished with a league-worst 47 points.
As San Jose enters a new era of hockey, the first steps of the journey will begin with the first puck drop of the preseason on September 22nd.
