According to Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now and PuckPedia, the San Jose Sharks have signed Thomas Bordeleau to a contract extension for one year.

Bordeleau was the Sharks’ last remaining RFA. The 22-year-old accepted a contract that exactly matches the details of his qualifying offer, but did not directly accept the QO.

In 27 NHL games last season, Bordeleau had six goals and five assists. When he arrived at the end of the season, he started well in scoring, but ended up calming down.

With plenty of new talent and top prospects like Macklin Celebirni and Will Smith joining the roster competition, Bordeleau should impress and show he has what it takes to take his game to a consistent level in the NHL.
