Two very different topics were discussed this week on The Hockey Show.

This will happen when we are in the middle of summer.

THS hosts Roy Bellamy and David Dwork have hired Stan Bowman from the Edmonton Oilers as their new general manager after he was reinstated by the NHL earlier this month.

The controversial signing was met with considerable resistance, both from a segment of Oilers fans and the hockey community at large.

After giving their thoughts on Bowman’s hiring, Roy and Dave rank their top 5 hockey movies.

13 films were considered, judged by four criteria.

The 13 films under consideration were Slap Shot, Goon parts 1 and 2, The Mighty Ducks trilogy, Happy Gilmore, Miracle, Tooth Fairy, MVP: Most Valuable Primate, Youngblood, Sudden Death and Mystery, Alaska.
