The Florida Panthers have a good bet on coach Paul Maurice.
In his two years behind the bench at Sunrise, all Maurice did was lead the Panthers to consecutive Stanley Cup Final appearances and the franchise’s first championship.
He also helped cultivate and nurture one of the tightest, closest and strongest locker rooms in the NHL.
Maurice’s area of expertise that has perhaps received the most attention is his incredible way of speaking to the media.
While those who cover the Panthers daily are fortunate to receive regular installments of Maurice’s musings, his comments were thrust into the spotlight during the Panthers’ long playoff run.
This season it seemed like at least once a week there was a comment or response from Maurice that received national attention.
Our friends at the Panthers were kind enough to put together a little compilation of some of Maurice’s most memorable moments on the mic, from Florida’s run to the Stanley Cup.
