Ducks troll Flyers fans ahead of Cutter Gauthier’s NHL debut originally appeared in NBC Sports Philadelphia
This is not how Flyers fans envisioned Cutter Gauthier in orange and black.
This being the orange and black of the Patos.
The former Flyers top prospect signed his entry-level contract with Anaheim four days ago and is expected to make his NHL debut tonight in Las Vegas against the Golden Knights.
So the Ducks saw an opportunity to anger Flyers fans and took advantage, angering them by posting this on their X account.

There.
Now you know the story. The flyers were forced to trade Gauthier in January because the fifth overall pick in the 2022 draft I didn’t want to play for the organization. It was a significant loss for the Flyers considering the 20-year-old forward was expected to be a pillar in their rebuild.
This year, Gauthier won the gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship and was one of the best college hockey players. The sophomore led the nation with 38 goals for the Eagles team that lost in the national championship to Denver last weekend.
And now he’s in the NHL, but wearing the orange and black Ducks jersey.
Something tells us Flyers fans are pinning the above post to a specific date next season.
