Jon Cooper, the head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning, has been named head coach of Team Canada for the 2025 4 Nations clash and the 2026 Winter Olympics. Cassidy will work alongside Peter DeBoer, Misha Donskov and Rick Tocchet as technical assistants.
Cassidy will join Jack Eichel as the first two members of the Golden Knights organization to be announced on the roster. Eichel was one of the first six to be named to the Team USA roster.
The Stanley Cup-winning Golden Knights coach carries a 388-206-70 as head coach of the Golden Knights, Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals and will represent Canada for the first time in his coaching career.
The Clash of the 4 Nations will take place from February 12th to 20th in Boston and Montreal. The four teams competing in this tournament are Canada, USA, Sweden and Finland.
