It’s officially wedding season, and several NHL players got married this summer because of it. Buffalo Sabers defenseman Henri Jokiharju followed this trend, recently marrying his fiancée, Henrietta.

Last May, the happy couple got engaged and took advantage of Jokiharju’s break from the ice to officially get married.

Jokiharju shared an incredible bonding moment with Sabers goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen on his big day. While celebrating the wedding on the dance floor, Luukkonen put Jokiharju on his shoulders.

Jokiharju and Luukkonen have naturally developed a friendship over the years, as the Finns have been in the Sabers organization since Jokiharju was traded to Buffalo prior to the 2019-20 season.

Still, it was a really cool moment between the two companions.
