Former Columbus goaltending coach Manny Legace has a new job, and it’s in the Metro Division, of course.

It was announced today that he has been hired by the New Jersey Devils as their new amateur scouting and development coach.

According to the Devils press release, “He will work with all goaltenders in the Devils system and serve as a scout for draft-eligible prospects.”

Legace served as Columbus’ goaltending coach from 2018 to 2023. He and Brad Larsen were fired after a disastrous 2022-23 season.

Legace won 187 NHL games with the LA Kings, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues and Carolina Hurricanes. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in 1993.
