The Chicago Wolves signed forward Nick Swaney to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday.
Selected by the Minnesota Wild in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Draft, Swaney played for the Iowa Wild last season. Although limited to seven regular season games, he scored one goal and collected one assist.
A product of Lakeville, Minnesota, Swaney joins the Wolves after spending parts of four seasons with the Wild organization. Over that time, Swaney has appeared in one NHL game and has scored 72 points in 123 career AHL regular season games.
With Swaney moving to the Wolves, he hopes to have a full season. When healthy, Swaney is a capable offensive contributor and the Wolves hope he can be just that.
