Situation of Federico Chiesa

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

Chiesa is also being watched by Tottenham as well as Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

According to Daily MailJuve intend to release eight players this summer, including the winger.

Both United and the Gunners are eyeing a discounted deal for the 26-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract.

Jadon Sancho’s new position

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag insists he can start the season with Jadon Sancho as a false nine.

Sancho was used in that position during the US tour after Rasmus Hojlund was injured shortly after scoring in the opening game against Arsenal.

Joshua Zirkzee is available following his £36.5m move from Bologna, but Ten Hag appears reticent to start him in the first few games of the season as he gets used to his new team-mates and the Premier League.

This is what we can do if we don’t have Rasmus available. We know he can play in wide areas, but also as a false attacker is an option.

But of course Joshua Zirkzee is arriving, he has already started training.

But consider that he hasn’t been training for long, so it will take time, and he has to adapt to English football and the way we play as well. Then there is also, of course, Jadon, as a striker.

Exclusive from Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is demanding a multi-million pound reward from Manchester United to leave the club this summer.

SunSport has learned that while West Ham are willing to meet United’s £18m valuation for Wan-Bissaka, they cannot afford his wage demands, leaving the deal in limbo.

Wan-Bissaka is open to joining West Ham but has no great desire to leave United and refuses to sell himself short.

The 26-year-old has less than 12 months left on his contract at Old Trafford and could earn a huge signing fee if he stays where he is and leaves on a free transfer next summer.

Wan-Bissaka’s representatives are pushing for United to give the player a share of the £18m fee he will receive from West Ham to complete the deal this summer.

The former Crystal Palace defender has been on the same £90,000-a-week contract with United since joining the club five years ago and is determined to secure a significant raise, which West Ham cannot offer.

Inter Milan are also interested in Wan-Bissaka and he could sign a pre-contract with the Italian club in January if a move to West Ham falls through.

The hunt for De Gea’s club

Fiorentina are confident they can sign free agent David de Gea.

The Spanish goalkeeper has been without a club since leaving Manchester United last summer.

According to La NazionaDe Gea is Fiorentina’s top target for the role as confidence grows that a deal can be struck.

De Gea was linked with a move to Serie A side Genoa earlier this summer, but his wage demands proved to be an obstacle.

Fans turn against Casemiro

Manchester United fans called on the club to “loan Casemiro” following his pre-season displays against Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Red Devils are expected to send youngsters Toby Collyer and Harry Amass out on loan this summer.

However, fans reacted on social media, with one writing: “Lend Casemiro.”

Another added: “Keep both lads and develop them. Why get rid of young people?”
