Borussia Dortmund announced the sale of defender Tom Rothe to Union Berlin.

The 19-year-old, who became the youngest player to score on his Bundesliga debut when he scored against Wolfsburg, spent last season on loan at Holstein Kiel and helped the team to promotion to the top flight.

The Union have already signed him on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee, with Rothe signing a long-term deal.

He was also capped by Germany as a minor.
