Pumas goalkeeper makes spectacular diving save to deny Whitecaps

More Leagues Cup action continues on Wednesday as the round of 16 begins.

In one of the first two matches, the Vancouver Whitecaps welcomed the Pumas to town, and the hosts were inches away from the first goal.

That was until goalkeeper Julio José González performed some outrageous stunts.

The Whitecaps counterattacked and Fafa Picault crossed into the box from the left wing.

It found Levonte Johnson, but the striker’s powerful shot was denied when the 33-year-old dived to his right out of nowhere.

You shall not pass!
