Libertad, understandably, organized an open-top bus parade to celebrate its monumental achievement.

They celebrated with joy on board the bus, waving flags and jumping with the trophy.

But the celebrations almost ended in tragedy when the trophy got stuck overhead. POWER CABLES.

Footage of the near-fatal incident went viral and showed the trophy glowing as it hung from power lines.

Locals attempted to poke the shiny trophy from its electric perch with a long stick-like object.

And the man holding the item made sure to wear rubber gloves and rubber-soled shoes to ensure he wouldn’t get electrocuted.

Footage of the incident went viral, with one viewer saying: “Holy shit!!!

“I hope the Cup has some cool scorch marks that people talk about for the next 100 years.”

Another added: “Electrifying celebrations of the day.”

The president of Libertad de Pirayu, Juan Carlos Romero, said: “We were scared after what happened, everything was a party.

“But suddenly, in the blink of an eye, we heard the sound of sparks and then we saw that the glass was hanging by its handle.

“We were all silent, it gave us a big scare.

“It was a lucky accident, I was there and I had to get down, otherwise the glass would have fallen on my head.

“I think the Virgin of Caacupe gave us a hand, because yesterday we went to the basilica and on the way back we made the caravan, the Virgin enlightened us at that moment.
