[BBC]

We asked for your opinion on the signing of Newcastle striker William Osula from Sheffield United.

Here are some of their comments:

Ricardo: So, the future will be like this, we sign a lot of young players with potential – stocking the cupboards for lack of a better expression – and then sell them at a profit to then serve the PSR. Obviously, players with greater potential will receive more interest and higher fees. So don’t get attached to any of them.

Leonardo: It appears that Newcastle are buying the bargains, with the opportunity to sell players in the future while avoiding excessive spending.

Liam: Three goals in 31 games doesn’t exactly give me confidence, but he was playing for one of the worst teams in Premier League history, so I’m willing to give him a chance.

Andrew: Genius! We have two fantastic strikers, Wilson and Isak. Instead of buying a fully developed striker and needing to sell players, we buy a young player who can learn from Wilson and Isak but who can cover if we have another injury crisis. Welcome to Tyneside! Under Howe, you will become the best you can be!

Stephen: Great signing, youth and ambition, but where is the winger?

Ian: A stranger. His 21 Premier League appearances last season suggest he will adapt quickly. The impression given is that he is a rough diamond that needs polishing. Does this mean that there are no longer any young attackers at the club with the potential to excel? Physically he fits the profile.
