BOURNEMOUTH has reportedly sanctioned the sale of Dominic Solanke’s club record.
The striker has had an impressive 2023-24 campaign with the Cherries, scoring 21 goals in 42 appearances.
His form has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle and West Ham ahead of the summer transfer window.
But Tottenham are now in pole position to sign him.
According to AtléticoBournemouth have agreed to sell Solanke for a club record fee.
Negotiations are ongoing with Tottenham to finalize a deal.
The 26-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Spurs and is desperate for a move to north London.
Solanke has a £65 million release clause written into his current contract that can be triggered by certain clubs.
Tottenham were unable to sign a direct replacement for Harry Kane following the England captain’s departure last summer.
Coach Ange Postecoglou is hoping to find a player who suits his specific style of play.

During Tottenham’s pre-season trip to Japan, he said: “What’s important is the type of striker we have.
“You know we play a certain way. We require certain things from a physical point of view, from technical aspects, to be a striker who fits that mold.
“It’s still the area of the park where we’re probably the thinnest when talking about casting at the moment, so obviously that’s a focus for us.”
Solanke began his professional career at Chelsea, having joined the club as a child.
He signed his first professional contract in 2014 and made his senior team debut in a Champions League match against NK Maribor.
That was his only senior appearance for the Blues and he eventually joined Liverpool on a free transfer in 2017.
Solanke made 27 appearances for the Reds, scoring once.
He then joined Bournemouth in a £19 million move two years later.
