MANCHETER UNITED showed off its “beautiful” new tunnel at Old Trafford ahead of the 2024-25 season.
But fans were quick to point out that the “leaky roof” hasn’t been fixed since last season.
Old Trafford’s “leaky” roof has long been derided by rival fans.
During the closing stages of Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in May, a storm caused water to rush through the stands at Old Trafford.
However, although this has not yet been fixed the club revealed on Friday, that tunnel changed and fans are over the moon.
The renovation features a red and black tunnel adorned with the United crest on the roof.
“The Theater of Dreams” is prominently displayed at the exit leading to the field.
One fan said of the reveal: “This is so beautiful. I loved seeing it! I loved that inscription ‘The Theater of Dreams’.
“This is the season where we compete again for big trophies. Are we ready, United family?”
Another added: “This is beautiful.”

While a third gushed: “THIS IS SO APPROPRIATE.”
But one fan shared an image of the leaky roof and asked “How about this?”
In recent years, Red Devils bosses have considered putting a new roof on their traditional home.
But they always decided not to do so, as they considered it too expensive a measure.
Since completing its partial purchase of the Red Devils earlier this year, Ineos has explored the possibility of building a £2 billion “Wembley of the North”.
In March, Sir Jim Ratcliffe outlined plans for a 100,000-seat stadium on the existing Old Trafford site.
