LEANARDO TROSSARD and Martin Odegaard have guided Arsenal back to the top of the Premier League table.
The Belgian’s accurate shot found the top corner, through the post, on the brink of half-time.
Gabriel Jesus did well in the area, keeping possession of the ball and passing the ball to his teammate.
And Trossard’s strike gave José Sá no chance.
Odegaard sealed all three points from a tight angle deep into stoppage time.
Arsenal would normally have come into this game with swagger.
They have won their last five matches against Wolves and have managed to score at least once in each of their last 32 games in all competitions against Wanderers.
However, the Gunners were still nursing wounds after consecutive defeats to Aston Villa and Bayern Munich and looking for a first win in four games.
These heartbreaking defeats have left Arsenal’s season on the brink of collapse and increased the pressure on Arteta’s players.
However, this is the end of the season and it is up to them to ensure everything is back to normal as they look to return to the top of the Premier League.

They never achieved that, but results are all that matter at this point in the season.
Unfortunately for Arteta, his team started as if they were still hungover from their midweek trip to Munich.
Of course, they had plenty of possession and created a regular supply of half-chances, but they created few opportunities to trouble José Sá in the Wolves goal.
In the first minute, Kai Havertz shot on the turn, but it lacked strength and Sa saved low to the right.
Gabriel Jesus capitalized on another shot, drilling the ball wide and Saka’s header was easily cleared out of the air by Sá.
Trossard was doing his best to propel the Gunners forward and twice in the space of five minutes he placed inviting balls back on the edge of the Wolves box.
But on both occasions, Declan Rice used the instep of his right boot and an open side foot.
The Gunners have looked leggy and lethargic since the trip to Bavaria and Gary O’Neil’s exhausted Wolves have gained confidence.
Tawanda Chirewa, the 20-year-old striker, tried his luck from 25 yards but the ball deflected off Rice and into Raya’s arms.
Leandro Trossard made a mistake in Ben White’s cut and shortly afterwards received a yellow card for a foul on João Gomes.
Arsenal looked a shadow of the team that were favorites to win the title just four games ago.
And they had David Raya to thank for keeping them on par when Wolves were a fraction away from breaking the deadlock.
Jakub Kiwior, who looked off the pace throughout, was too casual and was robbed by Gomes, who held him off before sending an angled shot home.
But Raya defied him by instinctively stretching his left glove to deflect the ball towards the post.
Gomes held his head in his hands, aware that Wolves’ best chance was probably gone.
Rice’s frustration boiled over and he was booked for a foul on Bueno, before angrily protesting that referee Paul Tierney had ignored a worse foul by Max Kilman on Havertz.
While Havertz received treatment, Arteta called his players to the touchline, gesturing wildly as he tried to inject some life into them.
Saliba obviously didn’t get the memo as he played a loose pass straight to Hugo Bueno before cleaning up his own mess with a well-timed tackle.
However, Arteta’s words clearly impressed his attackers, because out of nowhere the Gunners dramatically took the lead just before half-time.
There was a large chunk of fortune involved, but no one in red and white seemed too bothered.
Havertz launched the ball into the box and Jesus appeared to hit Doherty before the Wolves man tackled him to the ground.
Instead of staying on the pitch and asking for a penalty, the Brazilian recovered and, although the first touch was heavy, the ball fell invitingly to Trossard.
The Belgian was off-balance as he shot, but somehow the ball clipped his toe and looped over Sa, hitting the inside of the post on its way into the net.
It was Trossard’s ninth goal of the season – the most he has ever managed – and sent Arsenal back to the top of the table.
Hwang Hee-Chan received a yellow card after half-time for coming on late for Kiwior and was quickly replaced by Mario Lemina.
The Wolves midfielder tested Raya with a shot that the goalkeeper caught out of the air.
Arteta replaced Trossard with Gabriel Martinelli in search of the comfort of a second goal.
But it was the Wolves who were pressing now, without really bothering Raya.
