Arsenal’s prowess from set pieces was well known last season, with the Gunners scoring a league-high 22 goals (excluding penalties) from such situations.
It looks like they are ready to pick up where they left off, with two headed goals from corners in their final pre-season friendly against Lyon at the Emirates Stadium.
First, William Saliba rose highest to meet Declan Rice’s delivery and put the Gunners in the lead after just nine minutes against the Ligue 1 club.
16 minutes later, it was the turn of his central defender partner Gabriel, who once again took advantage of another excellent cross from the Englishman, who has recently become a dead ball specialist.
Arsenal have been very impressive during pre-season and with their aerial dominance once again looking evident, could this finally be the year they end their long wait for the league title?
