MODEL Alice Campello is feeling sad after splitting from former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, her husband of seven years.
The Italian, 29, said of Morata, 31, captain of the Spanish team that beat England at the Euros: “We couldn’t have loved each other more and continue to love each other. We promise to never hurt each other or be toxic and to end this before it happens.”
Yesterday The Sun revealed the pair had made the “painful decision” to split, saying they still had great respect for each other.
The couple married in 2018 – just eight months after connecting on social media.
Alice revealed to The Sun that she initially rejected Morata’s approaches, but was quickly won over by his gestures.
This included the striker driving eight hours to meet her family before returning to Turin as she had to train with Juventus.
A few months later, Morata was playing for Real Madrid and popped the question during a magic show.
Alice has stayed by his side ever since, following him to Chelsea before returning to Madrid and Juventus.
She was also photographed alongside the 31-year-old after he won the Euros with Spain in Berlin in July.
But she will not be with Morata as he embarks on a new chapter with AC Milan following his £11million move from Atletico Madrid.
The two ended their marriage six years after tying the knot at a glitzy party in Venice, where Alice is from.
Alice is a model who has worked with Dior and Chanel, while also launching her own handbag brand called Avril Gau.
She has four children with Morata – twins Alessandro and Leonardo, six, as well as Edoardo, three, and Bella, one.
