Rangers manager Philippe Clement has lamented the financial impact that the Champions League qualifying defeat to Dynamo Kiev will have on his ability to rebuild his squad.

“Financially it’s a big difference for the club,” he told BBC Scotland. “This will also make a difference for the transfers that are coming. I don’t expect this reconstruction to be done within a few weeks.

“It’s difficult for my team. They don’t deserve this after these two games against Dynamo Kiev. A person with a decision made a big change for us.

“It’s the second time in my career in more than 30 years that something unfair has happened. We can only accept this and move forward towards the championship and the Europa League.”
