ROY KEANE left a Premier League giant out of his top four predictions.

Speaking on Stick to Football, brought to you by Sky Bet, Keane revealed his belief that Liverpool will ruin their chances of finishing in the top four.

The former United captain said: “Yes, I think Liverpool will miss out unless they can get some signings in the next few weeks.”

In place of Liverpool, Keane predicts Aston Villa and Manchester United in the top four following the Midlands club’s excellent form last season.

Ian Wright had Liverpool and Villa in the Champions League qualifiers, behind Arsenal as Premier League champions and Man City in second.

Liverpool finished third last season and won a record tenth Carabao Cup in Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge.

But Anfield is going through a huge period of transition as new manager Arne Slot prepares to lead them into a new era of football.

Co-host and former Lioness, Jill Scott tipped Erik ten Hag’s team to get into the Champions League qualifying places somewhere.

However, Neville believes Liverpool will not finish in the top six and has moved Tottenham into the top four in a bid to shake things up.

The Reds are currently the only Premier League team to have not added any new players to their squad since the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

They were recently snubbed by Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi, who chose to remain at Real Sociedad.

Even so, Jamie Carragher is hopeful of a good season for his former team.

Carragher said: “I don’t think they’re going to sink, no. I think Liverpool have surpassed their performance last season in terms of being in the title race for so long.

“I don’t think anyone really expected this and if Liverpool had a similar season I would be delighted.

“It remains to be seen, sometimes new coach, new voice and I know what you are thinking, David Moyes arrives after Sir Alex Ferguson.

“Or Unai Emery after Arsene Wenger, there will be a big change, there is no doubt about that.

“But pre-season went really well, beating United, beating Arsenal, good result against Sevilla. But there’s a gap in midfield that needs to be filled massively.”
